Aerobatic Flight Raffle Prize - tickets £3 each or five for £10 - A 30 minute flight with Lancashire Barnstormers - choice of either aerobatics or formation flying. If the winner is a qualified pilot, this time can be instructional and logged as such.
If the winner is not a qualified pilot the flight will be conducted under Article 12 of the Air Navigation Order 2016. Whilst we are regulated by the CAA and LAA to achieve the highest levels of safety, the winner should be clear that the flight will be conducted as a private recreational flight and the flight is not without risk (as per many other recreational activities such as motorcycling). Flights in light aircraft are dependant on weather and other operational factors, the flight may not be able to take place on a particular day if conditions are unsuitable and will be rearranged.
Due to the dynamic nature formation and in particular aerobatic flight the winner should discuss any health conditions with their pilot prior to flight, and the aircraft commander will consider whether the flight can take place or the raffle prize delegated to another person. The winner (or their delegate) can weigh no more than 93kg.
